This is a simple signal tracer that works great. Devices like this really annoy me. Someone must have told the engineers that you have to make sure that good batteries don't fail and become associated with bad batteries and goofy. WHY do they need to be screwed in? A latch door works just as well and doesn't require a screw (which is about four times the length of this thing). I've had about 2 bad leads over the years that a tracer would definitely help with, but I keep reaching for a DMM to check for continuity. I will keep the sender block on my desktop as I think it will be faster and easier than a multimeter. You can make your own for about 10 cents, but again, this is a lot more than just a continuity test. It's sold under different names here at Revain, so keep your eyes peeled.
