Broke from simply tightening it
At first I thought these crossbars were great, but after shipping a friend's Kayak, I accidentally shifted one of the crossbars on the passenger side of my vehicle. As anyone would do, you would tighten the crossbar so it doesn't shift. When I spun the lock in just one cycle to tighten it, which I could barely clamp down the other ones, the handle snapped, and there was no way to tighten or lock the crossbar after that, making it useless.
