Review on ๐Ÿ“ฝ๏ธ LG PH550 CineBeam LED Projector: Portable, Bluetooth Sound Out, Screen Share & Built-In Battery by Kevin Tompkins

Great projector great picture decent sound

We ordered a ViewSonic M1 and a LG PH550 to see which best suited our needs. In the end we chose LG. LG has a good portable size that fits comfortably in your hand. It has decent sound, but you'll probably want to hook up a better speaker if sound is important to your needs. The stand is a tiny foot that doesn't really help much, I'd recommend getting a small projector or camera stand instead. So why did we choose the LG over the M1 when it's $100 cheaper, with better speakers and a better stand? That's because the brightness and clarity of the image was amazing for such a small projector, and while we were able to make up for the lower audio quality with a separate speaker solution, we couldn't make up for the lower video quality. Now it doesn't have such a short focus so don't expect it to take up much space up close, but despite all those criticisms the picture was so good we had to go with the LG. It's perfect? no But it meets our requirements very well. It was easy to see small details like small words and the image just popped up. However, don't expect it to be that stunning in a brightly lit room. It still needs some shadow to be effective. I was able to wirelessly stream Youtube and Netflix from my Samsung S9+ while the projector was also connected to a Bluetooth speaker with no issues. The iPhone required a wired HDMI connection, which worked effortlessly. We are very happy with it and will update if anything changes.
