Stable and fast WiFi connection

I was looking for a WiFi 6 router that would allow me to expand my network and act as a hotspot on top of my existing WiFi setup without spending a lot of money. At the time this router was at a good price so I gave it a try. I am impressed. The product came packaged in a nice box, which is to be expected from other expensive routers. Inside the box is a wireless router, a small power adapter, an Ethernet cable, and a user manual. The router is very light, but the plastic material feels strong and durable. Routers don't have much inside other than a small circuit board with built-in memory, processor and storage, so the light weight is justified. I have a lot of experience with networks, so without reading the instructions, I turned on the router, connected the laptop to one of the LAN ports, without connecting the router to the WAN connection. With my laptop I could immediately see the gateway (192.168.100.1) and I was able to access the web interface via this IP. I was surprised at first as everything was in Chinese but there is a small drop down menu in the top right corner and I was able to select English as my preferred language and my initial guess for the admin/admin credentials worked out like this: charm. I can say that the web interface of this router is one of the easiest interfaces I have ever used, it is very easy to navigate and I could easily explore everything around me. I immediately changed the admin password. I set up the 2.4GHz WiFi to have the same SSID as my existing WiFi that our IOT devices connect to. This allows our IOT devices to fall back to either AP if one or the other is down. I configured 5GHz to use WiFi 6 and then enabled guest WiFi with LAN isolation so guests can't snoop around on my private network. I was planning on using it just as an access point and was shocked to only see "routing mode" and "bridge mode" in the network modes. But that didn't bother me and I decided to try the "Bridge Mode". The bridged mode worked fine, I can connect to its WiFi and use the 4 LAN ports for wired connections. For the final deployment, I connected this router's WAN port to my pFsense firewall/gateway to work alongside my existing WiFi, which is connected to a different firewall port. I encountered no issues throughout the installation process, which only took about 15 minutes. Right now this Wi-Fi router sits under the TV in my living room under a cabinet. Playstation, TV and Splunk servers connected via LAN ports on this router. I've had it running for over 24 hours now with heavy traffic and 4K streaming with no issues. Playing games while connected to this router is also great as there is no network lag. Overall, I am impressed with the performance of this router. WiFi 6 is great for devices that support it. All my connected devices have a stable internet connection. I highly recommend this product to complement your existing network or to extend your WiFi coverage.
