Good quality bars with a fatal flaw

Good quality bars, thick and well finished. Very large, wide range of sizes. Good quality rubber coated handles, good carrying case. BUT. The ends of the rods have no tips, they are made of raw flat metal with sharp edges. So the plate you're working on crumples a lot, even with light pressure. If there were rubber tips on the ends of the bars, the pressure would be much softer but still focused. I should have bought a professional set or other set that includes rods with tips. For me they are completely useless despite good quality. Maybe I can find more tips.
