We live in our van full time and keep our valuables and cash in a safe on the floor. When another RV burned down near us in the desert north of Yuma, Arizona last week, I realized our floor safe was burglar proof but NOT FIRE RESISTANT. So I bought this fireproof Roloway bag to keep our valuables in the safe on the floor. But I don't trust anyone with my valuables and money, so I decided to check one of the two envelopes that came. I started a fire at over 1,000 degrees using my digital thermometer and placed the fireproof bag in a floor safe I pulled from a burned-out van nearby. I set the safe on fire for 10 minutes, but after 5 minutes I saw smoke and flames coming out of the safe's door seams, indicating something was burning inside. After 10 minutes I took the safe off the fire and the pictures speak for themselves. The seams of the bag melted, the bag opened and 10 sheets of paper folded in half burned down. From my test, I have a feeling that Roloway's claims that the bag can withstand up to 2000 degrees in a fire are a complete lie. DO NOT BUY THIS BAG IF YOU WANT TO PROTECT YOUR VALUABLES. The heat and flames in my test were the same as a home or van fire, except these fires lasted even longer than the 10-minute test I ran.
