This keyboard has everything I needed and after modification it is even better than I hoped. This is my first "custom" keyboard, although you can take my opinion with a grain of salt as I've only come across the basic offerings so far. I recommend it if you think your use case is similar to mine. More details below. Wireless was great and worked with no issues AFTER realizing the dongle was not fully plugged in. The light on the keyboard doesn't even come on when there's no communication between it and the receiver. This is an important note. I also use this device for gaming so didn't want to use Bluetooth as it could cause a lot of trouble which I wasn't interested in, but it also doesn't claim to have super low latency and I don't play competitively so works that's good enough for me. It was worth noting for me that it is very important; The keyboard has a charge indicator under the spacebar that glows RED while charging, but there are no other battery life indicators. Neither on the keyboard nor in the software, nothing. Not knowing the battery level can be detrimental, especially as the battery inside was tiny when I opened up the keyboard for mods. As it stands now I charge mine every night and keep the battery at 2nd or lowest most of the time and have had no problems. Turn it off between uses too. RK Gaming is the software that you can download for this keyboard that contains basic settings. First, this only works when connected to a computer via a wired connection, not wirelessly. The Function (FN) key only allows you to set a few custom keystrokes and nothing else. You can set game mode option which can disable some keys. Lighting options are limited. They have some interesting effects, but many of them only let you change the "base color". I believe there are up to 9 custom lighting modes, but they cannot be set to animation, and the color palette can only be selected from a set, not a custom one. cheap power button on the bottom of the keyboard. That's quite a step backwards compared to my Logitech G613, which has a great power button on the side. This is not only less convenient for working from below, but also less convenient. Charging connector - Type-C. Currently I wouldn't buy a keyboard with a micro USB charging port, so I'm glad to see that. The bottom row size is also standard, and the keyboard configuration, while rudimentary, is functional. Definitely recommended.
