My last car cut out the 12v outlet that I plugged the dashcam into but my new one leaves the outlet on so I've had the dashcam adapter on every time- and unplugged. the time I get in and out of the car. It basically became second nature, but after a year I figured I'd try adding a linear switch like this. Well the installation was very easy and I routed the cables behind the dash and next to it. level space next to the radio. Now I can toggle the switch on and off with ease. In terms of quality, while the switch is very cheap, I was impressed with the feedback when you actually click the switch. Overall I am happy with my purchase and would buy again and recommend to others.
