I purchased this check valve kit to fix a suspected brake booster vacuum leak on my 2008 Impala LT. When braking, I noticed an audible hiss, as well as a noticeable reduction in braking power. Other than that, this item didn't solve my problem, but it's worth checking out before other details because it's very affordable. The solution to my vacuum leak came down to a plastic/rubber gasket in the brake booster itself that cannot be purchased. by itself. You'll have to buy a whole new brake booster or pull a part from a similar model year Impala brake booster from a junkyard. This item is slightly larger than the OEM check valve and is available in a different color (slightly off-white/grey). See packaging photos and a side by side comparison of the OEM and this Delco AC check valve. I've included bonus photos of the original brake booster seal that failed causing the brake booster to fail and the intact seal I pulled from a salvaged Impala. Hope that helps!
