ACDelco 179 1266 Original Equipment Booster Review

The brake booster check valve sent was white and was for a 2004 Cadillac Deville with J55 performance brakes, not the JL9 that I have. I learned it the hard way. I have to order another one. Amazon doesn't list what it is, so be careful what you buy. All the best.

Well actually this isn't the right part for my car but it works. This works very well. I ran diagnostics after the replacement and found the idle speed to drop. I must have had a vacuum leak and didn't know about it. Also a clear and positive change in brake feel. Overall a good product.

1997 gmc jimmy, SLE 4.3L The side of the brake check valve that goes into the brake booster was about 2 sheets of paper too thick. So I cleaned the original sleeve and glued it onto the check valve. Took a steel toothbrush to clean the brake booster area and forced the check valve and old bushing in. It would be possible to use a new bushing, but I didn't.
