Fits well but didn't solve my problem

So it's a genuine GM part in the marked packaging and everything is fine. I just tried it on a whim, thinking maybe it's my problem, but no! My amp must be leaking. Spring. for larger and more expensive parts.

Pros
  • Good item
Cons
  • Slightly torn

Brake Booster Check Valve Kit

A very important part that must be connected to the brake booster, it makes braking much more difficult and ensures that all the brake lines in it are bled - all cars older than 10 years. You need this if you want your car to stop in the blink of an eye.

Pros
  • Brings joy
Cons
  • There are even more interesting options.

I found it was not the part listed for my car

The brake booster check valve sent was white and was for a 2004 Cadillac Deville with J55 performance brakes, not the JL9 that I have. I learned it the hard way. I have to order another one. Amazon doesn't list what it is, so be careful what you buy. All the best.

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • Quality

Grand Prix 2008 GXP

Well actually this isn't the right part for my car but it works. This works very well. I ran diagnostics after the replacement and found the idle speed to drop. I must have had a vacuum leak and didn't know about it. Also a clear and positive change in brake feel. Overall a good product.

Pros
  • Everything great!
Cons
  • I won't say anything

A little too fat and short.

1997 gmc jimmy, SLE 4.3L The side of the brake check valve that goes into the brake booster was about 2 sheets of paper too thick. So I cleaned the original sleeve and glued it onto the check valve. Took a steel toothbrush to clean the brake booster area and forced the check valve and old bushing in. It would be possible to use a new bushing, but I didn't. I want to spend more than an hour sanding the paint off the brake booster. Edit: Worked for about 2 months and blew up into 3 pieces…

Pros
  • New
Cons
  • Poorly thought out

I purchased this check valve kit to fix a suspected brake booster vacuum leak on my 2008 Impala LT. When braking, I noticed an audible hiss, as well as a noticeable reduction in braking power. Other than that, this item didn't solve my problem, but it's worth checking out before other details because it's very affordable. The solution to my vacuum leak came down to a plastic/rubber gasket in the brake booster itself that cannot be purchased. by itself. You'll have to buy a whole new brake…

Pros
  • Easy Installation
Cons
  • Functionality
