Review on ๐Ÿ› ๏ธ Crescent CTK150 150 Pc. 1/4-inch and 3/8-inch Drive 6 Point SAE/Metric Professional Tool Set by Kevin Brianne

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Great value for money. A large set containing more than most people need in both SAE and metric.

This thing is HUGE. I think I should have expected that since it has 148 pieces. When closed, it measures about 20 x 16 x 4 inches and weighs about 20 pounds. I already have many of the items in this set and want this so I don't have to buy multiple sets with duplicate items. A few months ago I was able to use deep well sockets (btw I have a set of through sockets, but I needed a deep wrench for a torque wrench. Sometimes you need a deep well set). includes both SAE and metric tools, so the days of "close enough" sockets are over. This set is enough - some of these you will never use. Improved with clever placement of rubber bands. Some parts are more difficult to remove than others and some spots will come loose over time. While this comes with a handy g-carrying case, most people don't carry it with them, so you might want to allocate some space in your workshop. Below are all items - I'm copying information from the description of the toolbox contents which should be more accurate than my inventory. Pretty much everything I need and maybe more. I've spent over $100 here and there on random kits and tools. While it requires a lot of initial effort, it's worth investing in, but you may need some space.

Pros
  • Meets or exceeds ANSI and ASME specifications
Cons
  • Good, but not great
