Good tool Bad case

The tools were good quality but the case was poor quality, things didn't snap. it's manageable, but the case isn't as good as the first one I bought over 15 years ago.

Pros
  • New 72T Crescent quick release
Cons
  • Alright

Great tool set but case needs work

I was so impressed when this item arrived! I really didn't expect such high-quality instruments. The set is so big, well thought out and pretty much has the essential tools that every home should have. Crescent is a well-known brand. It's not the most respected top brand, but it's what I consider average. Without the cheap plastic case it would have gotten 5 stars. Needle nose pliers keep slipping because they don't fit properly in the case. Many of the sockets also don't stay in place and pop…

Pros
  • Molded screwdriver and screwdriver handles with ergonomic grip for increased productivity
Cons
  • Can't remember

Well made, wide range and easy to organize

Great all rounder. From assembling furniture and toys to simple chores, you'll find all the tools you need in one place. The ratchet set is a nice bonus over similar sets we've had. Some of those bigger assembly jobs (like backyard swings) are a lot easier to do with the right tools, and these ratchets have come in handy more than once. The hex sets are excellent and the storage box is perfect for storing and organizing so you don't have to fiddle with the right tool every time. This set also…

Everything you need for a weekend warrior

This set is a very good and complete set for the average weekend home owner. It is stocked with SAE and metric size sockets and wrenches. The kit includes needle nose pliers and an adjustable wrench. It comes with multiple ratchet extensions and ratchet tools for 1/2", 3/8" and 1/4" drives. In addition, there are 2 sets of allen keys and 49 different bits that can be used with the included multi-tip screwdriver. Phillips and regular screwdrivers come standard, which is to be expected in a set…

Pros
  • Made of chrome alloy steel for increased strength and longer tool life

An excellent starter kit for beginners and project engineers

A little convenience requires a tool, and for those new to the world of auto and home repair it can be a little intimidating to know what's required. However, kits like this make it MUCH easier. should meet the basic needs of every human being for a long time. Wrenches, pliers, ratchets and sockets, screwdrivers and other items (including hex keys), all in a variety of standard (and some custom) sizes. Ideal for home storage . It's not a wizard's toolbox, but it's a good start. This set comes…

Pros
  • Adjustable 6" hex wrench reduces slippage by firmly gripping fasteners.
Cons
  • Crumpled

Covers almost everything you need

I love this tool set. It's quite large (at least a 148-piece set), so keep that in mind, but if you need to install a water hammer guard, change car battery terminals, replace spark plugs, disassemble a compost beaker, or adjust your bike's brakes, you'll pull it out and the tools you need is almost guaranteed. It would be nice if the wrench was bigger or the screwdriver was a ratchet, but then it would be a bigger, heavier set and more expensive - always a compromise. I really would like them…

Pros
  • Polished chrome flat and deep SAE/Metric hex sockets with stamped size markings for easy socket identification
Cons
  • Some errors

Good selection but a "fatal " error

It's not a bad, bad, bad set, but it's not outstanding either. If you keep a crib in the garage, this set will likely be able to handle most of what you throw at it. But. BUT! There are limitations, and quite significant ones, when it comes to the smallest of details: the cap end of wrenches curves too much from the face, causing short headed bolts to CONSTANTLY be thrown out of the wrench. NO. COLD. I threw all the wrenches along with the other wrenches. They live in a tray in the toolboxes…

Pros
  • Incredible access from narrow head combination wrenches, adjustable wrenches and pliers, and low profile quick release ratchets
Cons
  • Nothing here

Great tools you don't want to share!

This tool kit is a DIY enthusiast's dream! He has so many well-made tools that I can do many of the jobs I encounter in my home and in many of my art projects. The only thing I often miss is a hammer and hammer. Don't worry though I have a couple of both. Whether it's swapping out a shower head, assembling a digital piano, assembling shelves or other furniture, making some modifications to my power chair, you name it, I can do it with these tools. Since I'm madly in love with this tool set, I…

Pros
  • Includes a blow mold case for storage and organization
Cons
  • Some small items

This thing is HUGE. I think I should have expected that since it has 148 pieces. When closed, it measures about 20 x 16 x 4 inches and weighs about 20 pounds. I already have many of the items in this set and want this so I don't have to buy multiple sets with duplicate items. A few months ago I was able to use deep well sockets (btw I have a set of through sockets, but I needed a deep wrench for a torque wrench. Sometimes you need a deep well set). includes both SAE and metric tools, so the…

Pros
  • Meets or exceeds ANSI and ASME specifications

  • Good, but not great
