I've always liked K&N. Have never been disappointed with a product. It's also a great system that will definitely help motor breathing reach its true potential. Installation was easy, clocked on my watch, took 23 minutes to install. There are many advantages here, as performance and power are achieved with a simple screw, but there are also disadvantages. Pros: The engine draws in significantly more air to breathe, improving performance. You will find that the engine runs at smoother speeds and has an improved power curve. o Does not affect gas mileage with extra power. Cons: o Slightly better tube angle/shape, AFE tube is much better shaped for maximum airflow. by eliminating sharp corners with smoother, rounder curves. o The heat shield didn't work a bit. It could be extended in the back to really isolate as much hot air as possible from the engine bay. o The hose from intake to intake manifold is a bit short, could use about 3-4 inches more in it. The engine cover may not retract properly and is therefore loose. Better placement of the oxygen sensor eliminates the need for an extension. It's shipping, so it's kind of a complaint, but just my observation.
