The first time I used it, I shaved off my beard. The cooling effect of the gel was very irritating to my eyes and made it uncomfortable to use. In my opinion it's too thick even if I don't apply it. Eventually it gets stuck in my safety razor and I have to keep removing the blade, which is a bit annoying every time I shave. This is what happens when I just shave my neck. I usually only shave my neck because I have a beard and it's great for that, but if you have to shave your face the menthol will irritate your eyes. I would recommend this product if you use a straight razor but not a cartridge or safety razor as it is sticky and difficult to clean.
