After many upgrades and still reliable, I still have a wired keyboard and mouse for my 2009 Mac Pro 4.1 since I bought them new 12 years ago. Until now. As we all know, BT was a problem for these machines. After this update I am now using a magic mouse and trackpad that I bought 10 years ago but never got to use. Easy to install and such a simple solution. I installed a remote antenna next to the mouse pad. No more disconnects, pointer stuttering, or general dissatisfaction with Bluetooth connections. You could save a few bucks, buy the components and do it yourself, but why bother. Everything you need is included and works well. The only improvement I can think of is to add a small piece of heat shrink tubing or some sort of cap to cover the internal Boundary Wire connector once it is removed from the BT Module.
