It was a lot cheaper than the original part so I decided to give it a try. The one I had wasn't good. The bolt on the thermostat housing stripped the internal threads before it even reached the required 11 ft-lbs of torque. Also, there was an incredible amount of flux inside the hull where the pipes connected to the hull. I was able to clean the flux out of the two tubes of the heater lines, but I couldn't get into the upper intake tube. With a rolled up paper towel I was able to press it against the neck to see if there was any flux, and yes there was. Not sure what all that flux circulating with your coolant is doing to your system, but why risk it? I sent mine back because of broken threads, but maybe you'll get lucky and get a good one. For the price, if you can get a good one, it's probably still worth it.
