I've had these shocks on my 2001 Dakota QC 2WD (which weighs about 4,000 pounds) for 2 years and 18,000 miles currently total truck mileage is 172,000+ miles. . I also had Rancho shocks on a Ford F-150 4x4 truck 20 years ago. I loved them then and still love them as they offer a decent ride at a decent price for everyday use. They feel stiff at first just from the wear and tear of the last cheap shock absorber, but offer a comfortable ride after less than two weeks. Tulsa's roads can be very rough and unforgiving, but it's weathered the upheaval pretty well. I've bought cheaper name brand shocks in the past and you get what you pay for. If you plan on keeping your car, Rancho will do the job just fine. I wouldn't hesitate to buy them again.
