Very easy to set up and works well so far. No problem powering my drain pump after simulating a power outage. I went to my local auto parts store to get a battery and after talking to the people there I settled on a marine/RV grade battery. One thing to note, after simulating a power outage, when I turned it back on, the device's fans turned on while the battery was charging. The fans are really loud (much louder than I expected). It's not a big deal since they stayed on for a short time, but I think after a long power outage they can stay on for much longer. I've had this unit installed for a few weeks now and haven't heard the fans turn on again on a normal power up. Just something to keep in mind when installing this unit in a location where noise can be an issue.
