My son is 4 years old, he skates and tore them 10 times while wearing them. Comfort seems to suit him for the most part, they sometimes slip down. The top of the knee pads where the button/rivet is located came off pretty quickly considering he doesn't use his knee pads that much at all. I'd say if your child isn't too rough with pads and doesn't use them often they should last a long time, but if they use them daily or 3-4 times a week don't get your hopes up on the construction of these pads. cannot handle this level of usage. All in all, it's better to spend another $15-$20 and get something higher quality that's really good for frequent use.
