***REDACTED, again! Yes I dropped it again - and this time the red inner container was PUNCHED - so now I can't use it because it's leaking. It's a good product, but you can't stop! Easier said than done and I'm really no slouch lol! **EDIT: 3 weeks later: don't give up! I've read of others dropping it and breaking it. I thought, okay, don't leave him. Well I accidentally dropped it and it broke! Plastic torn in 2 places. Still usable, but not ideal.** When you're in quarantine, your priorities change. Homemade ice cream is now a MUST! So I wanted a quality container to store it. I used a 1 quart round pyrex glass bowl. It's hard to get away from that. DAS is great because you can hit big and roll out a good scoop. So the quality seems good so far. Hard to imagine it cracking like others have mentioned. Unless you have a really sharp or pointy shovel? I considered another branded model with a plastic shovel but didn't need it. LID: Great importance was attached to ensuring that the lid does not snap into place. He snaps. It's not exactly the same or as tight as a Tupperware seal, but it gets the job done. Based on other reviews I was expecting problems with the lid but no. It should be noted that this goes one way, not the other. The lid has a protrusion on one end that must match the indentation on the end of the container. Look closely to make sure you're wearing it right. It's just a pity that the color "strawberry sorbet" is more pink than red. Online it looks like a pretty basic red fire truck.
