Review on Mission Automotive Stainless Steel Rotor Screws (8-Pack) - Universal Fit for Honda, Acura, Hyundai, and Kia Models - Front and Rear Brake Disc Retaining Screws by Viswanath Badasz

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Worked like a champ.

Remember: The heads of these screws are NOT Phillips screws. they are JIS. That's why most people take them off. the head of the philip comes out of the "cross" JIS and chews on it. I got 106,000 prop-miles from the original factory rotors. got the correct JIS bits for my punch, pressed the punch hard against the head of the propeller (pulled the heel of the punch), and pulled the trigger exactly one punch at a time (in other words, don't pull the trigger and go through 100 times in a row the die-cutting machine), i.e. how you blow off the heads of an old screw in New York in one minute). Came out okay. I replaced the OEM bolts with these and smeared the threads with anti-seize paste so the next man (if any) doesn't have to drill them out. Perfect OEM replacement.

Pros
  • Ideal for brake work, these bolts hold the brake disc in place while the tire is reinstalled. Once the calipers/tires are reinstalled they can be left in place or removed. For best results, apply an anti-seize lubricant for easier removal later. Working front/rear and left/right brake discs
Cons
  • High price
