The pan looks solid and durable but that's about the only good thing I can say about it. When delivered, the pan is not flat when you place it on a ceramic hob. It's not much, but noticeable and a little pumping. The real problem occurs when you heat the pan. I washed it twice with hot soapy water and put it on the electric stove. I usually set the temperature to a 4 on a scale of 1 to 8. After a few minutes, the pan began to give off a very distinct chemical smell (like burnt plastic, but not quite) and began to warp (the center of the pan was clearly popping out). ). I turned off the heat and wiped the pan with a paper towel. I was surprised to see that the paper towel had turned the color of the pan's non-stick surface. Like wiping down a non-stick surface. Not sure what the non-stick surface is made of, but it smells toxic. Incidentally, the product description says "100% German PFOA-free coating", but the word "German" does not appear anywhere on the box or in the operating instructions. It clearly says "Made in China". This is the second pancake pan I have received from Revain with the exact same issue. The first was black and from a different brand, but it is obvious that all these pans are made in China by the same manufacturer from the same materials. You decide whether you want to take the risk. I return mine.
