I have a 104 year old house and the front doors are original. The doors are not standard size (much larger) and it would be quite expensive to replace and make custom doors - aside from the fact that I love the details and woodwork and wouldn't want to replace them. At the same time, as the house got older, significant gaps formed due to settlement along the door edges. On a cold day the door appeared to be open because of the draft. Until I can redesign the door frames to match the door, this is a great alternative. The drafts were almost gone and it was very easy to install. I see some reviews have complained about adhesion and if you don't apply it properly there will be problems. First, make sure the edges you are placing are clean and DRY. Second, it helps to place it and then go through the blow dryer. The heat hardens the glue better. I highly recommend a cheap and easy solution to stop these drafts ruining your bills.
