Worked great! I replaced the stock 16" wheels on my E320 with a set of 17" x 10" wheels from a newer Mercedes SUV and this clearance was enough to prevent the front wheel from slipping due to the deeper deck of the wider one hits the strut assembly. Steering wheel.
