High quality brushes. It also coats the meat well because you can wipe off the marinade and sauce on the mat. It's not ideal for brushing, however, as sauces will be picked up by the brush. I have to double the amount of sauce/marinade to dip and coat the meat. Next time I want to use silicone or plastic.
