It is not easy to write this review. On the one hand, it cost me $12 a roll, but on the other hand, there are problems. Overall, it's a lot better than I could have expected given the price. I just finished my first role and I have strong opinions. First, the color is great. Dark black with a beautiful sheen. Once set up properly, it prints very well with no real layer or layer adhesion issues. It's PETG, but after the set it doesn't stretch too much and a bridge is possible (though not very well, it's still PETG). I had no clogging or dripping issues other than other PETGs, and the filaments didn't tangle. It's also $12 a roll. Now for the things to be aware of. Firstly, the diameter is very variable. ranging from 1.62 to 1.76 in the same role. These measurements are an average of 90° at the same location using a calibrated micrometer. This thread was oval in every place I measured it, and I measured it *a lot*. For small prints, you can expand as you like, measure, and then average. Be sure to measure at right angles at each point as it will become oval. For larger prints it is best to set the diameter to 1.75 and expect a slight under-extrusion. Next comes the finishing. when printing at 4 mm³/s (regardless of hotend speed or layer height), the surface becomes matt black. When printing at 3 mm³/s and below it is nice and shiny. As your hot end speeds up and slows down as you print, printing at 4 mm³/s or more means there will be some high gloss areas and some matte areas. You really need to maintain a very low pour rate even for PETG if you want to look at the print. It doesn't seem to affect layer adhesion or anything like that, so it's better to use a faster speed for hidden functional parts. when price counts but quality doesn't. Prototyping, building kinematics, things with lots of supports that can take a long time to print, etc. If you try to print anything with it, you get frustrated and you stay that way. a few rolls of this in my dry box from now on, but only until something cheaper comes along. This is a profitable basement thread that should only be used when price is the most important factor. If *something else* is important, spend more and use something better.
