Review on 🌡️ Wireless Weatherproof SmokeBloq Meat Thermometer: Monitor Grill & Smoker with Unlimited Range, iPhone/Android Compatible, 2 Temperature Probes by Brenda Young

I bought my SmokeBloq in August and wanted to wait until I could write a review. Since then I've made about 15 cooks in my smoker, so now it's time for my review. I ordered through Revain as I had a gift credit to use another BBQ thermometer which I returned. At the time, SmokeBloq was running a promotion offering an additional meat probe if purchased directly from the site. I used the contact us button and asked if I could take a promo order through Revain, explained my gift balance and was told the promo was for a website but they would make an exception to accommodate my situations to become. CUSTOMER SERVICE RATING #1. When it came time to sync my new SmokeBloq to my WiFi, I ran into a problem. Almost immediately, I received a comprehensive response from the company's founder via the feedback form. He offered to call me if the email suggestions didn't work, but there was no need. I had to temporarily disable 5GHz on my router - no problem, the process took about 5 minutes - and everything was fine. CUSTOMER SERVICE RATING #2. Using the device is very easy and intuitive. I've read the reviews about the app and I don't really understand their complaints. While there can always be more features and we all have our own preferences and quirks, this thing is solid and fully functional. For example, I don't have very dexterous hands and setting high and low temperatures for each sensor is a bit problematic. But if this is the worst part of my day, it's a pretty good day. The temporary alarms you can set are amazing! I set the alarm to about 7-10 degrees below my target temperature and am no longer handcuffed to the house. I have used this device in snow and heavy rain and the water resistance claims are real. I also dropped it on the 2nd or 3rd cook and it's still working as I type this. See photos of salmon in the smokehouse. The last week impressed me the most. I gave up my carrier and switched to Google Fi and got a new phone in the process. When trying to set up my new phone with SmokeBloq, I ran into a problem and couldn't get it to work. Again, contact us was the ticket. I received a timely response with several suggestions and another phone offer. This morning I spent about 30 minutes on the phone with the company founder who took me step by step through everything until we got it up and running. I think it was my fault that caused the connection issue and he did the troubleshooting until the problem was resolved. CUSTOMER SERVICE RATING #3. Strange things happen and things don't always go perfectly, especially when it comes to technology. What matters is how these issues are dealt with. My problems were minimal and I think at least part of it was caused by me. All of this was handled by SmokeBloq, as you might expect. Aside from the fact that this is a quality product, customer service is what really makes the deal to me and SmokeBloq is second to none in this area. Three things to note during setup: 1. It can only connect to 2.4GHz initially, so turn off 5GHz on your router before setting up the device, and then turn it back on, after the setting is complete. Just google "How to disable 5GHz on my _______ router" and type the manufacturer's name in this field to see how.2. When prompted to allow location access during the setup process, say yes. It is required for the process.3. If the problem persists, please go to the "Contact Us" section of the website. When it comes down to it, I predict it will be your #1 SERVICE CAPACITY.
