We are boat club members and sometimes the quality of anchors on boats leaves a lot to be desired. We spend a lot of time on the sandbar where currents can be quite strong. Some days just keeping the boat in one place is more work than it's worth. The price of this device is quite high, but I decided to give it a try. When I first used it, it worked great. It was very easy to work with. I received it along with a bungee cord which definitely helped keep the boat anchored securely. I bought a second one to have more peace of mind on high current days.
