A few days ago we had another big snowstorm that knocked down quite a few of my trees. For the past few years, I've wrapped crooked trees with rope or nylon ties. Then I raise the trees back to the vertical position and tie the harness to the base of another nearby tree. This works pretty well if I remember to remove the harness before it gets too tight on the log. For this project I'm going to use a similar method, but this time I'm going to screw these anchors to the base. near trees instead of wrapping them. These anchors seem strong enough for my intended use.
