These molds appear to be well made and the right size. Unfortunately, balls of ice break completely when they come in contact with the beverages they are designed to cool. This exposes such a large surface area that it melts faster than a regular ice cube, completely watering down the drink within a minute or two. I've tried different water temperatures, different freezing temperatures, and various other tricks, but nothing seems to work. I made about 30-34 ice cream scoops using different approaches and only once did I get one that didn't break right away. I guess if you drink ice water it doesn't matter but for anything else I wouldn't recommend them. Unfortunately I missed the return window so I'm sticking with them.
