Review on ๐ŸŒณ Enhance Your Pet's Outdoor Experience with K&H Pet Products Birchwood Manor by Rachel Ellis

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Cats approved and given 5 stars immediately!

My wild cats liked them immediately so I like them too but with caveats. I have also used K&H Outdoor Kitty House AND K&H A-Frame and they are good products too. Birchwood Manor is smaller than Kitty's House, but I prefer it because hardwood surfaces are easier to clean, which is important for feral cats. Instead of using a heating pad (there is no electricity where houses are used) I insulated the birchwood blocks with 1/2 inch sheet insulation. It was difficult to measure and figure out how to cut the insulation board to the right dimensions, but the house itself is easy to assemble with a screwdriver and is very durable. The plywood is much better than expected. I thought I'd have to paint them but the plywood has a good finish although I doubt it will weatherproof. The size fits two small cats who really love to cuddle, but most cats need an estate of their own. In comparison, the K&H A-Frame can easily accommodate two large cats, while the Outdoor Kitty House can accommodate two medium-sized cats. A few tips for K&H: 1) Why not go up a size to fit 2 cats? Because cats would prefer to be together because of the warmth and security. 2) It would be great if you included templates or measurements for adding insulation board. 3) The range of accessories would be great - like a really waterproof batten roof (to add to this kit) or maybe precut insulation panels. and no heating pad for places without outlets. I have never been disappointed by a K&H product!
