Review on Beltronics 015007-6 STi Magnum Radar Detector: Ultimate Protection for Drivers by Dale Toth

Detects Ka-band radar very well, much less false alarms than other radar detectors I've had. It worked very well for me for the first few years. He had a lot of false laser warnings last year. Sometimes it detects the laser continuously for several hours while driving, other days it doesn't get any false laser alerts. I called Beltronix. They said I could send it in for repair for about $150 or get a loan to buy a new Beltronics detector. I decided to just turn off the detection of the laser, K and X bands because the only time I've had a legitimate warning about the laser I've already been pulled over for a fine. Police in Alberta and BC don't seem to use the K or X bands very often, haven't had any false alarms for a few months since I turned off the laser detection, K and X bands.
