Not the best substitute.
This is a universal version of the original remote control. If you are looking for a second remote control, this will do. If you're looking for a replacement that's as good as the original (as the dog will chew on it) then get a genuine Samsung remote or a good generic one. It has bad latency. When your TV is connected to a receiver, it takes a long time to turn the volume up and down. I use this for my QLED TV and it's the worst. I actually bought 2 different versions and both are the same. You can't even use a shell and swap out the internals as it's a completely different design.
