You get what you pay for

We have two Corvette C6.Rs which we drive in the Pirelli presented Trans Am series where we pass a car video qualification and before that in Series riders must leave the track at the end of each event, otherwise there will be a penalty. There is no other POV camera system that we would trust for this. Not only are AiM cameras packed with goodies when used with dashboards to aid in both auto-tuning and driver education, but they are also very robust and will stand up to any insults that they are subjected to in this situation. We also use the latest Go Pro Hero cameras for backup and a different angle than the AiM, but we typically use at least two of these cameras per car per season, while the AiM has held up with no issues. If you are serious about filming car races and collecting data then the AiM cameras and dashboard are the way to go as all other options are just throw away systems.

Pros
  • Heavy & Commercial Vehicle Equipment
Cons
  • When in doubt
