Description of πŸŽ₯ Capture High-Definition Action with AIM SMARTYCAM HD Revision 2: 67 Degree Field of View & 4M CAN Connection Cable

Real Time Data Overlayed on videos: SmartyCam HD overlays all the data you need from different sources. From GPS: track map and vehicle position, as well as speed, lap and split times. From AiM loggers connected to your ECU: RPM, throttle, engaged gear, acceleration, temperatures, pressures and - in presence of additional sensors - also their values. All this info will be overlayed on videos in each single point of the track. 67-Degree Field-of-View. Automatic Start and stop function and Global Shutter CMOS sensor to eliminate "wave effect". Front mount color TFT display for in-car installation: On-board cameras are to be installed inside the car. Where should the display be placed to check the correct position of the camera? The SmartyCam HD 128x128 pixel TFT color display is on the front, not on rear - where general cameras place the viewfinder. High-Quality small-size video files: SmartyCam HD videos have the same quality as other HD cameras but their files are smaller because the H264 compression system parameters have been optimized to a perfect balance between video quality and file size. Files are stored on SD cards. Designed to withstand extreme on-track working conditions. Compact, handy and easy to install. Its small size (87x63x49mm) and light weight (280g) make SmartyCam HD easy to install inside your car or on your bike.

Expensive but worth it.

The price is hard to pay, but once you've got this thing set up and integrated with the rest of your data, viewing the session is painless, and there's no render time to create data video. You'll NEVER have to worry about forgetting to turn your camera on or off or running out of battery - it just is and works. The RS3 interface isn't great, but overall it's an extremely useful product. GoPro's image quality is better, but you can't beat the seamless data integration and instant viewing…

High price but worth every penny.

So I've only had four trackdays since this purchase. I'm so used to taking notes and scrolling through the memory bank. I reviewed my video after the session and made significant improvements in subsequent sessions. Just watching the video is useless except for taking notes. Thanks to this I was able to customize my lines, corner entry and exit speeds, throttle and brake inputs and timing and share them with others. Although I'm a solo driver, more knowledgeable professional drivers could check

You get what you pay for

We have two Corvette C6.Rs which we drive in the Pirelli presented Trans Am series where we pass a car video qualification and before that in Series riders must leave the track at the end of each event, otherwise there will be a penalty. There is no other POV camera system that we would trust for this. Not only are AiM cameras packed with goodies when used with dashboards to aid in both auto-tuning and driver education, but they are also very robust and will stand up to any insults that they…
