Exactly as described; A little touchy; LEDs are bright for their small size; Shelf life unknown.

These have just been received and are exactly as described: Two units each with 100 "strings of lights" ((tiny LEDs)) on the cord, each with a solar panel. The panels close with small Phillips screws which is good for me as the batteries can probably be replaced as even rechargeable batteries REALLY lose their ability to recharge over time. These LEDs are small, which is surprising. bright for their size, but they won't "illuminate" a dark part of the garden - they "definitely lighten the mood". The *positive* aspect of this is that they look festive and pretty without *not* disturbing your neighbors at night! In addition, two strings can always be used together if a little more light is needed. I've used them with some starlights and I think they work well with any type of 'hanging' light as well, but again so your yard doesn't look like a small plane runway! a bit delicate, so personally I'd be careful with it. I received it yesterday so I can't comment on durability. Fee so I assume they are the same. It's a button though, so you'll have to try them in the dark to see if they're on or not, although they MUST be "off" when you get them. The mode button is also a push button, not a dial; I haven't tried the different "modes" yet, but the default mode is that they use all the different effects one at a time. "Flickering" isn't too awkward just because it's tiny, so it can be cute when mixed with a steady light or something like that, which is what I was thinking of. If I can think of anything else I'll try to update this review if it's still possible ;)
