The first time I needed a replacement remote, I spent money (and time) on Verizon. They sent us two new remotes which we paid for and they don't work for power on/off or volume control. Good luck with Verizon but I have to ask them for help but don't spend any more money. This time I chose a different brand. Exactly the same problem. You can follow the instructions exactly, ask other family members or the banks of the Mississippi about it, and the results are the same, apart from various programmer curses. So right now we're using the original crappy remote that Verizon gave us to turn the TVs on and off and adjust the volume - these functions barely work, and the newer crappy remotes for changing channels that the originals can't do anymore. The troubleshooting instructions provided are a complete waste.
