My high expectations were replaced by some disappointment as some of these devices are CHEAP. The hand mixer, in particular, is made of cheap die-cast metal with plastic gears. I'd rather assume it can't handle the big churning of thickened ice cream you have to do since the electric motor isn't powerful enough to fully push the ice cream mixture through. Otherwise it makes 6 quintals of ice cream in the US, which is very nice. I used my own recipe and not one of the recipes that came with this product. A little more effort and a few euros more would have made this ice cream machine really good.
