There is nothing "insulated" about this. It's a plastic sheet with adhesive velcro around the outer edges and magnets along the inner edges. Does it stop cold drafts? Meh. Better than nothing. Does it blow open with a stiff breeze? YES. There are spaces between the magnets in the middle so there will be a few gaps you have to work with and flatten out fold wrinkles from packaging/shipping to get a complete seal. I put mine up in a doorway to a room that is rarely used but does not have a door (yet). My house has a good seal so if I open the exterior door near this doorway, this curtain will suck through and flap in the breeze. I wouldn't buy again but would buy a heavier quilted type to block off cold air.
