Review on 🛴 Bird Kid's Kick Scooter - 3-Wheel Design, Height Adjustable Handle, Lean-to-Steer, Back Stomp Brake by Nick Shirodkar

Don't do this on scooters

Bought 2 of these for my granddaughters (8yr and 5yr, £60 and £55 respectively) for Christmas. (DISCLOSURE: Purchased through Target, but Target doesn't publish my review, and a product is a product wherever you buy it, so I felt it was appropriate to share the review with potential buyers.) Two weeks of use (normal, no coarse), the main bolt under the front wheel well loosens and the stabilizer pins come loose from the base holding the two front wheels. These scooters have been ridden on the pavement and local roads - no jumps, collisions etc. Brought back to store for exchange/exchange hoping the incident was an accident. Unfortunately, a week later, the same thing happens to an OTHER granddaughter's scooter. Returned THIS for a different (same) replacement (although I have no idea why I gave them another chance). This lasted 3 days, exactly the same problem! There is clearly a design flaw. Natural vibrations caused by road traffic seem to cause this main bolt to loosen over time and fall off the main post/pin. That should not happen. This bolt must be secured in such a way that it cannot move by itself. (Funny thing - after the second return/exchange they noticed the box had a "Sale" sticker on the box - now $64.99 instead of $129.00! I wonder why?!) They're coming both return for a refund and don't buy this brand again.
