My dog had 6 puppies so we bought these collars so we could tell them apart. When they started crawling we kept them under the covers so they would smell like puppies and mom wouldn't undress them. Finally, we didn't use them very often because we knew the puppies by their spots, but since we couldn't keep any of the puppies, we put collars on them when they met their potential families. Our puppies were the smaller size and they were too big for them (because I bought them so quickly I didn't check the sizes) but we cut off some of the velcro at the end and they fit perfectly! The different colors really helped make each pup stand out and when the others noticed there were numbers they thought it was so cute. After having our puppies for 4 months the last pup went to his new home today and these collars have been good. properties and retained their color despite chewing and playing. I'm giving the collars 4 stars because they were quite stiff and therefore looked a bit uncomfortable for puppies, but they were still nice and sturdy.
