Review on JOYSTAR Balance Years Rubber Adjustable by Todd Markel

Revainrating 4 out of 5

In general everything is fine, but I recommend having it repaired at a bike shop, especially the brakes.

Good at first. It is light, the size corresponds to the description, inexpensive and worth the money. I hope our 6 year old girl gets balance and steering as she is too intimidated by her bike with training wheels (she pedals great but is afraid of falling so moves at a freezing pace and doesn't seem to close the coaster master). Brake). The bad is what you'd expect from a bike at this price point: the wheels aren't super real, but the calipers and levers are of such poor quality that they're completely useless for toddlers. I had to spend a few hours (for which a professional mechanic at a bike shop would charge about $150) straightening the wheels, shortening the ridiculously long brake cable and housing, bending the caliper arms so they were straight and worked together , align the brake pads properly and replace the adjusting screw. Grab a longer one that's actually long enough to get the lever closer to the handlebars (the one that comes with does literally nothing as it should be about 1/4 inch). ). longer) Brake pad and/or rim wear will likely be required even with the modifications listed above to create the friction needed to brake small hands.
