I received this to connect a 1987 VCR to my Smart TV. Works but color is wrong. With some films the picture is too dark and I have to turn up the brightness so much that the picture looks washed out. Sometimes the brightness is right, but the color varies. Not perfect, but bearable. Before AV2HDMI, the VCR didn't work at all with my TV. Despite the image issues, I'm impressed by how this $11 box packs decades of technology together. Please note that the device is USB powered and includes a short micro USB to USB cable, but you will need your own USB power supply.
