I love the Fluke brand. Reliable quality and precision for the trade. I have been using these gauges for over 20 years and do not trust any other brand for everyday use. Out of my previous 3 Fluke test tools, I would say this is my favorite. I also bought a carrying case and magnetic mount for this gauge, but missed the feature of the 75 and 77 series, which is the hanging hole built into the back of the case. I use this notch to connect to the false ceiling grids. You now have an extra magnetic tape, but of course this only works on metal. I also like that I no longer have to use my O-Scope to check frequencies. My O-Scope, even as a digital device, is much larger and cumbersome to carry around. This Model 179 includes frequency measurement. PROS: - Quality build - High accuracy - Protective, leak-proof case - This model includes frequency and temperature measurements (to calibrate your oven) - Large display that's easy to read - Touch hold - Auto-off function - Backlight CONS: - I wish they were weren't that expensive
