I purchased 4 or 5 palettes to try. Some were a lot smaller. When I first saw this I thought it was way too big so I put all my tube paints in a much smaller one. That didn't work because it was so small that my brush kept rattling the case and it didn't stay in one place. So back to this one and it isn't too big after all. It stays flat and when I move my brush into the paint it doesn't move all around. I wish is "snapped" closed, but now it doesn't bother me. I also like that I can keep warm paints on the right and I have several empty wells and plenty of room to mix paint.
