I had them taped to the rim of the toilet bowl so my new heavy wood seat cover wouldn't get in the way of the flush handle. After putting the wooden seat, the lid upright, I squeezed the handle again. This kept the handle from coming loose, allowing the plug to fall off and the tank to be refilled. It took (2) of these in total, one on the edge of the tank and the second on top of the first to allow for some extra clearance. It was the perfect distance to release the grip so the seat cover sits straight and doesn't fall forward. Today I used them again to create a small bumper to keep my mouse from sliding off the mat (which is tilted) onto the floor. I saw another reviewer use it for a mouse pad. They were smaller than they looked but true to size. They were easy to use and worked great and I would buy them again for future projects.
