I have owned birds for over 25 years and have built many cages, but this A&E cage has been the most difficult yet hence my low score. The structure of the cage as well as the functions are excellent, but when it comes to assembling, each step is difficult and you have to do it by trial and error, and it takes two. The instructions are incomprehensible and consist of only a few lines, poorly translated into English. The diagram is useless, it doesn't indicate which screws to use for what - very awkward! Although there is an inventory of parts, the screws are listed as "1 pack" and it appears that the screws and bolts supplied are a random bunch of different screw sizes. I ended up with 9 extra bolts of different sizes, three extra washers and one extra nut. I was missing a set of four bolts and nuts for the apron and none of the extra bolts matched the apron. Several times in the middle of the build process I had to start from scratch when I realized I had used the wrong screws because I needed them for something else. Ironically, the only clear instructions were on a separate sheet and involved installing the A&E plate. This leads me to believe that this cage was made primarily for a few cage manufacturers and after some thought A&E added their own instruction sheet to ensure the A&E logo is on the cage. I blame A&E for being so lax and not asking the manufacturer for clear instructions and better inclusion of the required mounting hardware. On the day of assembling this cage, plan to visit the hardware store to purchase the missing parts. myself. I paid 50% less for this cage at Revain than I saw at Sinbad's Birds in Miami and now I understand why. The pet store one comes fully assembled and the Revain one comes in boxes. It's worth noting that this cage comes packaged in two separate boxes, increasing the chances that you won't get everything you pay for. My first order for this cage had to be returned; I ordered it from Revain in "Platinum" and only received one box and it was "Ruby Red". On the second try, a few months after the new shipment arrived, they nailed it. Good luck with the assembly because you will need it. And shame on A&E for tarnishing their reputation with all these streams. I'll end on a positive note: this is a great cage once you get the hang of it.
