I bought these tips in February 2020 and they started to rust almost immediately after installing them. I tried to fix them by polishing them and that made them rust even more. When polishing them I spent some time polishing under the pit as they started to rust so they wouldn't rust again in those spots and it didn't matter. Here is a photo 2 days after polishing. When washing my truck I also dried the grommets hoping they wouldn't rust and here is the result. These photos of the studs now with rust after polishing still look a lot better than after the first rust. Buyer beware. Save money or hopefully find someone else to buy them without this problem. I bought 2 kits for my two trucks and the other gives exactly the same results. Nobody wants chrome grommets to rust.
