Updating the Carby firmware works, but there's a catch.

I bought this after someone said it would work to update the Carby firmware but the catch is you really need a system running Windows 7 or XP as it doesn't worked with my windows 10 laptop and it took over 30 seconds and kept failing when using impact from the 14.7 ISE software. I was lucky enough to find an old laptop that still had XP on it and after downloading the software and setting up the cable in Impact with the latest GCVideo firmware it was successfully programmed within 30 seconds. and no mistakes. And in case you want to know if it comes with software, it doesn't, but you can easily find it with what I mentioned.
