This is an excellent tool that works as advertised. I bought this tool almost a year ago thinking it would prove useful for my work (HVAC trade) but I have never used it to date. Today I had to change the outlet on the back porch, while the switch plate is marked, of course not every circuit is marked. Instead of using the elimination process, I decided to try this tool and see if it works. Steps: 1. Plug the transmitter into the socket to be found.2. Press the button on the receiver and step over each circuit breaker from top to bottom once, then move to the next row. (This is a tutorial.) 3. Pass the receiver over the switches a second time and it will find it. The green arrow lights up and a beep sounds. Excellent! I saved a lot of time using this tool, no guesswork, hours or anything to reset. I like that the transmitter has a little red LED that tells you if the circuit you plugged it into is hot. I also like that Klein put the instructions on the device. Improvements: I would have preferred the case to be orange rather than black, it catches the eye better. It would be really cool if the transmitter could be snapped/attached to the receiver's handle so it doesn't get lost and makes it easier to put away. Eh, just minor improvements to deduct a star.
